such bullshit. here’s how to read this, honestly: ‘physicians are no longer diagnosing chronic diseases such as cancer, diabetes, etc. in poor patients because they do not view it as profitable, and they do not want to waste their time searching deeper and more intensively for possible causes in such, generally more difficult cases.’ in other words, doctors have gotten lazy, and it’s become a widely-accepted social institution (esp. in the West).
